Understanding the Client’s Challenge
When our client approached us, they expressed dissatisfaction with their current Marine Locker design. They wanted a fresh, innovative solution that would enhance both the product’s visual appeal and functionality. After an in-depth discussion to align on expectations, we defined the redesign direction and initiated the creative process. This is our first AI CAD project and we was extremely excited for that project.
The Redesign Journey
To kickstart the project, we turned to the powerful capabilities of Midjourney, an AI tool designed for creative exploration. First, we developed basic sketches and concept drawings by hand and in SOLIDWORKS. These initial ideas were then fed into Midjourney, which generated the first visual proposals.
Through multiple iterations, we worked closely with AI to refine the visual direction. After finalizing a conceptual 3D model in SOLIDWORKS, we returned to Midjourney for further enhancements. This seamless collaboration between our team and AI tools allowed us to refine the design continuously, culminating in a polished concept that we presented to the client.

The client’s reaction to the redesign was overwhelmingly positive. They praised the new design for exceeding their expectations in terms of both aesthetics and functionality. With their approval, we quickly moved forward to complete the technical development and finalize the 3D model and functional product design.
